UESCK-SBASHK initiated several coordinated actions aimed at raising the quality of teaching and learning, and at empowering teachers to protect their rights and to improve working conditions in schools. These actions range from monthly social dialogue meetings with the Education authorities, to professional development programmes to affiliates, to raising public awareness on the state of workplaces and school environments, equipment, and tools for teaching and learning. By working on different levels, UESCK-SBASHK increased membership by 1.2% in 2018.

This designation of "Kosovo" is without prejudice to positions on status, and is in line with UNSCR 1244/1999 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo declaration of independence.
